Camping tour is an incredible way to have an adventurous outdoor experience of national parks and wilderness destinations while hiking with only a light daypack and sleeping soundly, vehicle-accessible camps. Led by hiking guides, we set up camp every day in the different places of the Tien Shan mountain. We offer 2 options. 4 days route to the most famous places of the Almaty region: Ile Alatau National Park, Charyn canyon and Kolsai Lakes National Park. And also 7 days route that will take you to the wilder south-east corners of the Almaty region.

Programme, 1^st option

Day 1. Turgen gorge. Hiking Kairak waterfall – Donjailau plateau – Small Turgen gorge.

Driving to Turgen 2,5 h. Hiking 8 h. Altitude: 1700-2800-2300 m.

Day 2. Asy observatory. Hiking on the Karakyz peak and going back. Asy valley, Red Rock.

Driving to Asy 1 h. Hiking 4 h. Driving to Red Rock 3 h. Altitude: 2900-3455-2900 m.

Day 3. Charyn canyon. Kaindy lake.

Driving to Bartogai reservoir – Charyn canyon 4 h. Walking Charyn canyon 2 h. Driving to Kaindy lake 3 h.

Day 4. 1^st Kolsai lake. Hiking to 2^nd Kolsai lake and going back. Almaty city.

Driving to Kolsai 2 h. Hiking 6 h. Altitude 1800-2250-1800 m. Driving to Almaty 5 h.

Day 5. Tekes valley.

Driving Bestyubinskoe reservoir – Kegen village – Tekes valley 6 h. Walking to Tekes waterfall 1 h.

Day 6. Ulken Kakpak gorge.

Driving time 5-6 h.

Day 7. Hiking Karakol lake – unnamed pass – going back. Almaty city.

Hiking 6-7 h. Altitude 2850-3730-2850 m. Driving to Almaty 6-7 h.
