Trekking route: Kaskelen gorge – South Cossak valley – Cossack lakes – Moon pass 3.410 m – Uchebniy pass 3.470 m – Aksay moraine lakes – Aksay valley – Kargaly pass – Kargaly valley – Road pass – Kargaly dam.
Day 1. Transfer to Kaskelen gorge (1-1.5 h). Aydarys pass – Windy valley – Cossack lake.
Distance 14 km; 9 hrs. Difference in height +1600 m / -100 m (1700-3200 m).
Day 2. Eastern (2nd) Cossack lake – Moon pass – Kyrgauldy gorge – Uchebniy pass – Left Aksay gorge – Aksay moraine lakes.
Distance 9 km; 5 hrs. Difference in height +800 m / -720 m (3220-3100-3400-3200-3550-3150-3300 m).
Day 3. Aksay valley – fording the river – Right Aksay gorge – lake under Teplophizik glacier – Kargaly pass – Kargaly valley.
Distance 13 km; 8 hrs. Difference in height +1100 m / -1150 (3300-2650-3750-3250 m).
Day 4. Kargaly valley – Road pass – ridge trail – Kargaly dam. Transfer to Almaty (30-45 min).
Distance 16,5 km; 8 hrs. Difference in height -1900 m / +100 m (3250-2650-2750-1450 m).
