For experienced riders.

The route passes through the Big Almaty gorge, which starts from the famous park of the first president. In the mountains, we climb a prepared jeep with an experienced driver on 4WD. Before we get to the beginning of the trail, we pass the barrier of the eco-post, where we stop to pay for entry. After payment we pass among the cottages, following to our starting point.

Having reached the parking in the mountains, we unload all the equipment and prepare for the exit. If there is a need, we can conduct a small educational program for beginners and talk about freeride, terrain, avalanche danger.

Our next goal is the Kok-Zhailau tract, which in Kazakh means Heavenly Pasture. We go along the trodden path among the dense fir forest and wild animals. You can go on ski-tour or on foot. This path is popular among tourists, so along the way we will meet a lot of people. On average, the path with skis, snowboarding takes 3-4 hours.

Having reached the plateau Kok-Zhailau (height 1,700 meters), we stop to eat before the last ascent. On the Kok-Zhailau plateau there are special wooden tables and benches where you can comfortably relax and eat. And you can also watch the beautiful peaks around. From the plateau, on the one side, you can see the city of Almaty, and on the other side, silent peaks standing here for millions of years. To rest and snack about 30-40 minutes.

After a rest and a snack, we begin the ascent to the Three Brothers rocks. We pass a kilometer from Kok-Zhailau and reach the foot of the mountain (altitude 2350 meters). The path along which we will climb is very steep, so it is better to remove the ski skins and walk. Most often there is a good trail, so there are no problems with lifting. You can climb on ski-tour too, but it will take more time.

In about 2-3 hours we will reach the Three Brothers (altitude 2860 meters). If you climb to the top of the ridge (a few meters), you can see the peaks of Kumbel, Kumbel-Tau, Tereshkova, Junior Geologist, BAP (Big Almaty Peak) and others. From the rocks, the city of Almaty is also clearly visible.

We arrange a halt on the Three Brothers for photographs, video filming and snacking. On average, it is 30-40 minutes.

After a rest we get up on our skis and snowboards to go down. The descent with a narrow short couloir, a slope of 50%, and then begins a wide field of powder, where you can leave your individual line. After descending from the Three Brothers, we ride along the Kok-Zhailau path in the forest zone to the bottom, where the car is waiting for us.
